Cooling is done by means of an Air Cooler. The process gas is to be cooled with by outside air. To increase the surface, fins have been applied to the tubes.
A Dutch manufacturer of compressor systems supplies a number of compressors for gas terminals in Spain. The gas is compressed in a number of steps and cooling takes place after each step. A bundle has been designed for all 3 steps. 3 bundles are combined per unit. As a result, the total cooling of the entire process is realized in 1 single unit. The software available at Robox offers the possibility to simulate such a combined unit.
It is an Air Cooler. Three multi-pass high finned (aluminum fins) bundles with plug type headers combined in 1 unit, type PHFP 4/9000 (1000 + 1200 + 800) entirely in C-steel according to PED category IV / Mod H1, ASME VIII Div. 1, API 661 (ISO13706) and customer specifications.
